From the creators of NY Comic Con comes the The inaugural NY anime festival, the first anime convention to be held in New York City in 4 years since the former Big Apple Anime fest convention closed in 2003.Since then New Yorkers had wanted an anime convention to return to the home city ,the people's wishes were awnsered.

Throughout the entire weekend 12/7 -12/9 over 15,000 fans & people gathered at the Javits Center to a show filled with endless exciting activities and events .From Screenings of new animes such as MS Gundam Igloo ,Catblue dynamite,Domo & Venus vs Virus.

Activities also included greet & autograph sessions with guests ,dozens of panels ,art show & the video gaming room.

At the TOKYOPOP Booth the gothic lolitas were hosting some festivities with ,a trivia contest and.
a few Q&A sessions with some of their American manga-authors.
They even offered free fine tea to attendees.

Photobucket One of the unique main features of the show was the Maid cafe sponsored my Anime network featuring traditional Japanese & American cuisine.

This was the central hub in where con goers got to relax & watch the newest anime from anime network being displayed on 3 flat screen LCD screens and have the luxury of cute maids attending to them.

As I walked through the

Maid Cafe area I saw an amazing gathering of cosplayers.What had happened was the empty void next to the maid cafe & the voltron mural had turned into a second central hangout lounge within itself.

The Dealers area.

Unlike other countless conventions where the dealers room tends to be the usual routine place where people go by stuff.The dealers room was more of a second main attraction in itself than just a casual shop zone and featured the artist alley.


The entire area hosted various booths featuring evrything under the sun ,from toys,swords ,ninja weapons ,art books dvds to model kits;Cosplay gear ,maid lolita outfits , traditional japanese attire even our old buddies fron Genki Hats & Sin Comix were there to join the fun.

On our way we checked out the Capcom booth where attendees lined up to get a first hand look and a chance to play the new graphicly stunning Devil May Cry 4 game for the Xbox 360. (Gameplay.)
